Works great!

The Bottom Line: A great family fryer, generous capacity, easy to use and attractive on the counter.
I purchased this after several ordeals with various other fryers. I also bought the black model which for some reason they call the "professional" one but the only difference is the color.
I prefer the black as it will continue to look nice after continued use which can cause a white one to yellow.
We use this often (more than we probably should) and have had no problems with the way it operates. As the other reviewer stated it has no off switch. The closest thing is to turn the heat all the way down but you have to pull the plug to turn it off.
The basket easily disconnects from the handle so you can easily toss it in the dishwasher. The window isn't of much use as it is hard to see into it. And another model of the cool daddy had a rubber seal around the lid which helped eliminate oil from dripping around the oil bucket onto the fryer casing which would be a nice addition.
The basket seems to sit a bit below the max oil level so I would suggest only filling it to min or half way between min and max when cold and heating it up, raising the basket and adding the rest of the oil as needed so that it doesn't touch the basket (which makes it impossible to drain your food if it's sitting in the oil)
But all in all I am very happy with this fryer. The basket size is generous; plenty of room for what you may need to fry and it works and cleans up well. It has been holding up very well for our family of 5.
