Uncomfortable and hard to use

Once my son outgrew his front carrier I decided to buy one that could switch between a laying down for drinking a bottle to wearing him on my hip since thats how I always carried him anyways but it would allow me more freedom. I got this one as it was more expensive so I figured it would be better, it wasn't. It took so long to get the drawstrings figured out and the thing positioned right that my son was crying and wanting to get out of it. I couldn't figure out even how to get it in the right position and forget trying to adjust it while your wearing it. So it takes a lot of time of in and out for your child to finally even get to wear it and when you do they almost fall out from luck of support and you are so frustrated from it and your kid is so frustrated from it you are just ready ot throw it out but because you paid so much for it you just think you must have done something wrong and try it again and the frustration just happens again. The buckle was horrible and it dug into my shoulder so badly that I could barley stand it. My son was probably about 22 pounds but still he was less than 12 months and it says you can use it to about 18 months. The laying down was not much better. It also didn't seems to support him very well when he was on my hip. It worked out when he was laying down but thats about it and what 8 month wants to lay down for the whole time?
