Sometimes small isn't a good thing. I thought it would be.

Date of Review:  Jan 13, 2005
The Bottom Line: Great 1st, tough, camera loaded with features and easy to learn and use, though might be too small (was for me), test it out first!
Review: First and foremost, Inherent flaws in small cameras:
-picture quality is poorer due to small lenses, weak flash and its not as easy to keep stable in your hands
-red eye: small cameras usually have the flash close to the shutter which...

Great Pocket Camera, easy to use and excellent pictures

Date of Review:  Apr 26, 2005
Review: Bought the SD300 for my wife for Christmas and her first picture was the best she has ever taken. She wanted a camera that was easy to carry in her hand bag, easy to use, great picture quality and this one fits the bill. I have used the movie/video...

Upgrade of best camera

Date of Review:  Jul 2, 2005
The Bottom Line: Fits in pocket, awesome pictures, point/shoot ease, fun movie pictures, charging battery ease.
Review: I just received my Canon SD500 just 2 weeks ago. The quality of the SD300 should be comparable to this camera (except mine is somewhat higher priced). It looks comparable from your specs.

My camera is so awesome!!! We exchanged from 2...

Review: Wow was I impressed with this camera. We bought it to take pictures of our daughter as we went on holiday and were all really impressed. It is so small and easy to use (something we love). Even my daughter could take a couple of pictures.

A True Pocket Camera!

Date of Review:  Jan 3, 2005
The Bottom Line: Great family camera - takes great photos - quickly - and even has a viable video option.
Review: Are you in the market for a shirt pocket-sized 4.0 mega pixel camera? If so the Cannon SD300 is for you.

As a frequent traveler with children I was looking for a camera that would meet my specific needs, such as light weight, take great...

Great camera

Date of Review:  Feb 25, 2005
Review: The SD300 addressed all of my problems with the previous SD110. Canon also bumped up the megapixels to 4 as well. It has a large 2-inch LCD and uses SD cards, which can be found for almost nothin' these days. It offers full-res burst mode @ 2.4 fps...

Hope you don't have a long event because you'll never get shots of the finale

Date of Review:  Mar 1, 2005
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you don't mind spending extra money on a second backup battery. Response time is fast enough you won't miss a picture and it takes great photographs.
Review: This camera is great for size and quality, but if you want a camera that's dependable don't get this one. The battery life is horrible. Also, there is no way to find out how much battery is left. A red battery icon blinks just as the camera is about...

A good quality, reasonably priced gem

Date of Review:  Jul 20, 2005
The Bottom Line: The perfect camera, buy it for a pressie or yourself! Want more megapixels? Get the iXUS50.
Review: This is one very good, very reasonably priced digital camera that offers good quality pictures and a stack of features. The fact that it was a 4.2 Megapixel digital camera, and that it was a Canon lens drew me toward it first, and I believe it's the...
