Power, Power, Power

Date of Review: Jun 22, 2000

Powerstones is stunning in the smoothness and ease of movement of the fighters. It's like being a character in DragonBall Z or something. The theme to this game is the powerstones, three (or four, or five) sparkling gems that transform the fighter into a being of massive power once he or she collects them all. The one catch is that there's another fighter in the room trying to do the same thing. The fighting to get the stones is secondary. The being of great power is the basis for this whole game, and it's generally worth it to take a few hits to get all the stones. It's real eye candy when the fighters get all juiced and massive. This game is a great party game which can be played over and over again. Definitely worth getting. Only problem: it's only two-player.
