Pros: Power, Trunk storage, Sound system
Cons: Low milage, Visibility
The Bottom Line: I would buy it again
Review: I have been waiting for Pontiac to release this vehicle for several months now. I traded in my 1998 OLDS LSS for the GXP. I found very limited availability of the GXP in Chicago. I managed to purchase mine for ~1000 under the sticker price. In the ...

Pros: base model is sporty, comfortable, and makes you fall in love with it
Cons: A/C brings in smells sometimes, recirculating A/C not automatically on
The Bottom Line: Amazing car, really fun to drive, and makes you feel cool driving it. Much better than boring looking sedans.
Review: I drove a black on gray cloth 2005 Grand Prix (base model minus Onstar) as a rent car for a few days. I have to say this car was a joy to drive. It had extremely comfortable seats, a great instrument layout, a very sporty feel to it, and incredible looks ...

Almost a perfect car - class above an Accord

Pros: Power, Great Mileage, Sound Proofing, Ride quality, Steering, In class with Chrysler 300 series.
Cons: Associating the Accord as being in the same 'class' as the Grand Prix
The Bottom Line: Highly highly recommended. The car is so quiet, fuel efficient, fast, and affordable. Don't even place an Accord or Altima even close to this car.
Review: I have spent some time in a Dodge Magnum, Honda Accord, and Pontiac Grand Prix. I decided easily on the Pontiac Grand Prix. I will admit the Magnum *is* a bit better of a car but, but the lease rates just aren't competitive because in the end buying a ...

Pros: nice options, sporty looking
Cons: the hump on the outside edge of the seat
Review: Since we have kids that are becoming of age to drive we decided to pass down our 96 grand prix and 99 grand am and buy a new 2005 grand prix. We are so far very happy with it, alot of new technology is in it. We have the heads up display which makes it ...

Grand Prix GXP. Small-block V8 and front-wheel-drive. Definitely crazy. But good crazy or bad crazy? |
|||||||
|
Pros: Big torque, TAPshift, front seats, big rebates
Cons: Difficulty getting power to the pavement, needs more gears, rear seat
The Bottom Line: A lot of car for $27,000. Fun, but also deeply flawed, and definitely not for everyone.
Review: Just a few months ago GM seemed well on its way to countering Chrysler's successful 300C with a bevy of its own V8-powered rear-wheel-drive sedans. Then it announced that the North American portion of its zeta program had been shelved, ostensibly to free ...

Pros: Sporty appearance, powerful ride, spacious trunk
Cons: Poorly designed glove box, could have more interior storage pockets and areas
The Bottom Line: Great for former high school "drag racers" who now carry Balmex and baby wipes as standard gear.
Review: So, here I am... 31 years old, happily married, and the proud father of a 3-month-old baby boy. Suddenly, my 1999 Hyundai Sonata decides life is no longer worth living and seizes up, leaving me in desperate need of new transportation. Initially, I ...

Pros: Decent gas mileage, solid mechanically, huge trunk
Cons: Factory tires are worthless.
The Bottom Line: For a good, solid vehicle, choose this car. It won't leave you stranded and has a lot of nice features.
Review: I bought this car brand new. It drove really well for about 6 months, and then something sporadic went wrong with the right rear wheel. It was also already out of alignment! The computer in the right rear was malfunctioning- no problem. Realignment ...

Pros: Great handling, driver-friendly controls, great pick-up
Cons: Moderate road noise, eats gas, cheap plastic interior
The Bottom Line: This is a driver's car! I recommend.
Review: I bought a used GT version in December 2006, with 14,000 mi on it. I am not a technical reviewer, so, I will just describe my experience so far. STYLING: The exterior is stylish. Mine has the duel chrome exhaust, spoiler, fog lights, and power ...

Pros: Acceleration, comfort, reliability, front-seat comfort
Cons: Interior materials, Monsoon sound system
The Bottom Line: GM is moving in the right direction with this model as compared to models of years past. I am satisfied with my purchase.
Review: The 2005 Grand Prix GTP is essentially the new body style built on the foundation of the last generation Grand Prix. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as the last generation had a lot of things going for it. Comfort, room, power, and reliability. ...

|
Pros: Moderate comfort and moderate performance in a sort of bland family sedan
Cons: It's a Pontiac
The Bottom Line: -
Review: A second chance for an old foe I've had an opportunity to drive the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix recently. My own car was at the dealership (again) and I was given a base model Grand Prix with under 500 miles on the clock for the day. ...
