One of the best!

I've rented this mini van. I was surprised how comfortable & quiet it was. Suddenly I make a very-short-stop, and I almost didn't felt it. Rides very smoothly and quietly, has a lot of features, all at your hand. Automatic headlamps is a plus. Center row flip-out windows is a feature most mini vans doesn't offer.

The one I had is the "Extended Length", which comes with more features than the "Regular Length". The rear seat is "stowable" into the floor. Is that easy! It has rear air conditioning.

The Pontiac Montana (and the Chevy Venture) is the only mini-van it's available for 8 passenger seating. Ideal if you have a big family or friends to travel with...

What I don't like is: Once you shift out from PARK, all doors locks automatically. Then if you (or any passenger) need to open you door, you must return to PARK, press the "Unlock" button, and then open. Pressing the "Unlock" button each time makes you crazy. No other mini van has it. If you need to go out, Just pull the door handle & walk out. (Of course the sliding doors is a different story for safety poprpuses). (Consumer Reports also writes about that in the 2001 April issue ("Car issue") that some cars has this problem.)

But overall it's nice, comfortable, message center gives you many warnings, the temperature & cassette controls are also very good & easy to control. (Lacks a left side power sliding door).
