Polaroid 8" two screen DVD player: short lifespan
Pros:
cheap
Cons:
cheap, you get what you pay for, and maybe not even that
The Bottom Line:
Not recommended - you are taking a big risk and if you are paying more than what we pay for, it WILL be a waste of money

Author's Review
We bought this knowing it won't last long but at an out of pocket final cost of sixty bucks, we took a gamble. Sure enough, 1 trip in the car and exactly 1 hour later, the sound on the second screen would not work. Tried everything, plug, unplug, repeat, nothing.
Returned to buy.com, luckily still under return period, they sent another refurbished unit. Second one had dvd player stuck mid movie. Returned for 3rd refurbished unit. Only tested it once but will do a few more field runs within the 30 day return period to give it any reliability rating. So far 2 out of 3 have failed.
Hopefully not 3 of 3 or else I will be taking less risk next time with a product and company that already have poor ratings. This is almost like buying stuff from the dollar store with the knowledge that you will only use it for a few times and if you are lucky maybe the usage will be into the double digit figures.
Other things of note: no battery, wires can get into a messy tangle, screen resolution is so so, like std def compared to HD like what most people are used to nowadays.
