This is an improvement the Gameboy Pokemon game series. Pokemon Gold adds a number of new features to the gameplay such as: being able to call other characters, having a night and day schedule, Pokemon that can only be caught in certain times or days, the ability to transfer old Pokemon in Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, into Gold or Silver, as well as having a backpack to organize your items.

Pokemon Gold or Silver is a great game because it takes the old game and adds 100 more Pokemon and more techniques to fight with.

This is worth the money, and you can spend hours upon hours on this game alone. It is quite addictive and you will want to level up your Pokemon to be the ultimate Pokemon master.
