Pioneer HDJ-1000 Professional Headphones

I have had these headphones for a couple years and until today, they have worked well. The sound is great. The major problem that I have with them is the lack of support from Pioneer - which has been confirmed by many people (forums, websites, reviews, etc...). There is a one year warranty on this item, most likely based on the fact that the PLASTIC will most likely crack as a result of repeated use. That's very unfortunate. After contacting Pioneer they said that there was NOTHING they could/would do. I asked about cost out of pocket for shipping, parts, and labor, and they curtly replied that nothing could be done after the 1 year warranty. Seems to be a very common problem with them from many other users. Maybe take a look at Sony or Sennheiser as a more robust and equally sounding product.
