Great way to build a system

Pioneer really hits the nail on the head with their DEH-P3000 CD Player. This is a cheap headunit with plenty of added features and ways you can expand a car stereo system. Whether you just want to upgrade your car's original stereo to something a bit better or you want to hook this headunit up to an expensive system with amplifiers, after market speakers, and subwoofers this is a great choice.

One nice feature is that it is satellite radio compatible and can be used with XM satelitte radio or serius radio. Simply by plugging an adaptor directly into the back of the DEH-P3000 you can control your satellite radio directly from your headunit and easily switch back and forth from CD to satellite, to regular radio. This is a great feature if you don't want to clutter your car with multiple controls for your radio.

I found it very easy to add onto this headunit with amplifiers for my interior speakers as well as for a subwoofer. Again, just connect to the back of the headunit and you're all set.

Easy to read display and removable facepiece are also two additional nice features.

Even if you don't want an expensive system with subwoofers and upgraded speakers, this is a great investment. The 45x4 watt internal amplifier is enough to power your music for the causual listener.

My only gripe is that it doesn't have a UBS port to easily play MP3 songs from a ZIP drive. Other than that - outstanding.
