Continuing my search to find ANYTHING that Philosophy makes in the cosmetic area that I like, I recently bought
Philosophy The Supernatural Fingerpaints for Eyes, Lips and Cheeks - Cool.
This was actually an exchange for the
Philosophy The Supernatural Airbrushed Blush that was too light for me.
Now I wish I would have kept the powdered blush. The Fingerpaints are so sheer and light, all I see is glitter on my face and not much else.

The Packaging
This little black matte compact comes in a black and white box as is Philosophy's standard packaging. The compact is exactly the same size as their
Philosophy The Supernatural Airbrushed Color Corrector Concealer (around four inches by two inches). The compact snaps open to reveal three small round pots of different shades of pink. Each shade is about an inch in diameter. There is a tiny brush, which is the exact brush that comes with the concealer compacts as well. I can't tell the difference between the concealer and the Fingerpaints compacts unless I open the compacts.
My Experience
I had a choice of neutrals, which Philosophy labels as Warm, and pinks which they call Cool. The Warm compact looks to have three shades of tan and beige colors. Mine has a very, very light pink, a bubblegum pink, and a slightly darker pink. All are very light and all have visible shimmer.
The photo above shows colors much deeper than the actual colors in the compact.
This compact is supposed to be a three in one product. The colors can be used in lips, cheeks, and eyelids.
I tried the lightest shade on my cheeks and no color at all showed. Just some glittery shimmer. The second shade showed a very slight amount. The darkest shade shows up but it not nearly pigmented enough to be used a true blush. I have medium skin which is on the pale side and this did nothing to rosy up my cheeks and make me look less pale. It just gave my face a shimmery look.
The little circles of color are creamy and can be applied with the brush or fingers. I used the brush to apply the color to my eyelids. I am not a fan of pink shadow but that didn't matter. All I got was sticky feeling shimmer. The deep shade showed up some and made me look sick, not better.
Last, I tried these on my lips. The brush, which is probably the best part of this compact, is perfect for applying the colors to the lips. Again, they were too sheer and light to show up. I am perplexed. I understand the idea of looking natural and not made up. But if I wanted NO color, I wouldn't use anything. Why pay $25.00 for a scant .3 ounce total of color that has no color?
I do like the idea of being able to mix the colors to customize the shade but there needs to be some color to do that. I am not saying this blush is clear. It is just so incredibly light and sheer that, unless you are very, very pale, you probably won't want to use this trio as the only color you wear on your cheeks or lips. You may be able to get away with wearing the shades on your eyelids if you like shimmer and barely there color. You may even like the extremely sheer and subtle pink color on your lips. But I am hard pressed to think of anyone light skinned enough to find these shades have enough pigment to make them look flushed or healthy looking.
I can't believe how disappointed in Philosophy's cosmetic line I am. I have not found one product in the line that I really loved. I think they should stick to skin care and fragrance and leave the cosmetics to other companies.
I would tell you how long lasting these colors are but I barely can see them when freshly applied. Within an hour, any color I managed to see is gone.
Just a waste of $25.00 in my opinion.

Conclusion
I am disappointed. This expensive trio of colors looks pretty in the slim compact. But, applied, even the deepest shade is so sheer and light that only those with the palest of skin will be able to discern the color.
I like the idea of a three in one compact and I like the idea of natural looking shades but I want SOME color when I invest $25.00 in a product.
The darkest shade produces a sheer, light veil of color on the eyes and cheeks but none that I can see on my lips. All three shades contain shimmer and that is mostly what you see when you wear the colors.
This compact is useless to me. I really can't figure out what to do with it. It doesn't even make a nice layering blush under powder blushes.
I give this 2 stars. If you like very, very sheer shades or, perhaps you are buying this for a young girl who is just starting out using make up, you may like this compact. I feel ripped off by Philosophy though. Natural is one thing. Nothing is another. These shades are as close to nothing as I have found.
