Another confusing Philips product for me.
Pros:
size, ease of use, sound
Cons:
battery life, shuffle doesn't work!
The Bottom Line:
Like any other product that you need to use a computer with, there are bound to be issues.

I'm starting to wonder if Philips can make good MP3 players or if I'm just having really bad luck with the two I've purchased. I recently purchased the Philips SA5125/37 because my other Philips MP3 player decided to die on me. I purchased this because of the price and the look, but it also wasn't an HDD model which I had read on here a lot of people had issues with. Me being one of them. I really don't like the fact that I don't have a DC adapter with it, but it's not that big of an inconvenience. It's easy in my opinion to transfer files over from Windows to the device.
My one issue with this product, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same issue, is it won't shuffle my songs. I've got over two hundred songs on my player and it will continue to play the same songs over and over. Everytime i turn my player on, it will start with the same song. Whether I go through Shuffle only, or if I go to Play Mode and then Shuffle, it will still play the same songs first and in the same order the whole way through. I've looked the at the owners manual to see if something wasn't checked on my devise, but everything is how it is supposed to be if you want to shuffle your songs. I would think with two hundred songs, you'd be able to start with a different song everytime you turn it on.
Other than this one minor problem, I love it. The battery life isn't as good as my other one, but it will do. It gets dirty real easily and Philips doesn't make a case small enough for this one. The iPod Shuffle case is too small in that the screen in Philips is much larger. Great product over all though.
