Author's Review
These headphones were selected with hopes for good quality and comfortable wear at a reasonable price. I paid about $25, so at that price I figured the headphones should be acceptably decent.
The sound quality is just that. The music comes through clear and with good quality. It could always be better, but sometimes higher sound quality comes with a heavy price tag that we don't all want to sacrifice our money towards.
Unfortunately, I have not been pleased with the comfort of wearing these headphones. After a couple hours, my ear begins to feel irritated. I didn't have the problem with a couple other ear-bud style headphones I have used before.
They also don't sit in my ear or seal out ambient noise as well as other headphones I've used. They do come with 3 sizes for fitting, but none have worked for me.
The cable is divided into two parts. Each about 2 feet long. One is simply an extension; the other is the headphones. The cable going to the right ear is actually longer than the cable for the left ear. I assume being some design for wearing it, though I just find it annoying. At times I feel the shorter left side pulling because it doesn't have the length that the left does. Equal length cables would make the wearing of the headphone more comfortable.
The reduced length of the headphones for the added extension I also find to be an annoyance. Weight of the connectors, small as it is, is still enough to pull down on the headphone when I'm wearing them standing up. That left earpiece can feel the tension. I rarely have been in a situation when I wouldn't need the extended length of cable, so it's always attached. Keeping it long in the first place would be more helpful, and throwing in an extension on top of a normal length cable would have been a better idea.
It also came with a little plastic case for the earpieces. A useless accessory, since the plastic broke apart on me just from opening and closing it once. Maybe I'm just stronger than I thought, but I kind of doubt it. The case just wasn't very durable.
