Good Cheap Remote

The Bottom Line: We like this controller better than the original. Lighted buttons would have been a plus.
Review: Only a few minutes remained before blastoff, and the man was taking careful inventory of his situation and environment. There could be no mistakes.

"Advanced DVD Functions" Still Comes Short

The Bottom Line: Good universal remote control, however lacks a few key DVD functions, especially for multi-disk players.
Review: Note: This review is on the newest version (should we call it the 2005 vintage?). This vintage has only one set of arrow keys. And on the bottom it only says "Philips Universal", not "Philips Magnavox". Philips has at least three versions of this...

It works on my equipment but DVD/VCR buttons are way too low

The Bottom Line: Little things drive me up the wall. It does what it's supposed to do but it nearly falls off my hand when I press the dvd buttons.
Review: I bought this remote control because I needed to replace 3 other remotes, (TV, DVD and VCR). I chose this particular model because it was cheap, at $8.92, and because I wanted to test the waters, see if these things really worked.

Great remote - only one that worked with Dish Network
