Got ipod? Get These Headphones.

Date of Review:  Oct 15, 2005
The Bottom Line: More like portable speakers for your ears than headphones. For $20, you just can't beat them.
Review: If you own a portable music player, whether it be digital-MP3, ipod , CD, or even cassette, do yourself a favor. Get rid of whatever headphones you're using and run out and buy a pair of Philips HE-592 in-ear phones. I know that's a rather bold...

Excellent sound in a small package

Date of Review:  Jan 13, 2006
The Bottom Line: Great sound quality for the price, a perfect replacement for your current earbuds. May stick out a little if you aren't using an Ipod though.
Review: I picked these up for a plane trip, after struggling to hear my prior over-the-ear headphones on an earlier flight. Wow, what a difference!

My specific situation: I have used these headphones primarily to listen to spoken word recordings...

Makes iPod even better

Date of Review:  Sep 26, 2005
The Bottom Line: Excellent, if they will fit your ears.
Review: After listening to these earphones, I felt I just had to spread the news. The virtual surround sound design won design and engineering showcase honors at the 2004 International Consumer Electronics Show. The patented reflected speaker design gives...

Don't stay in ears

Date of Review:  May 29, 2007
Review: The sound is great, but these earbuds drive me crazy because they always fall out of my ears. Even when I'm just sitting at my desk, I must constantly reposition them to prevent them from falling right out of my ears.

Forget about...

A specialty pair of earbuds for a budget price

Date of Review:  Sep 18, 2006
The Bottom Line: These phones are an excellent buy for a very specific purpose. Use them in quiet environments and enjoy a level of sound quality usually found in much more expensive earphones.
Review: Not since the development of the original Sony Walkman has personal music equipment garnered the attention that MP3 players and I-Pods have in the last 5 years.

Increases in technology along with freefalling prices in RAM have made high...

Impressive sound quality from quirky tech, potential size issues

Date of Review:  Jul 7, 2006
The Bottom Line: Delivers good sound quality and impressive low-end range for the price bracket, but check the fit.
Review: Finally frustrated with the cheap headphones I had been using, I decided to upgrade to the slightly less cheap level. What a difference $10 made.

I was most struck by the excellent apparent range of these headphones, especially on the bass...

Love Them

Date of Review:  Mar 29, 2007
Review: I bought these from Target for $19.99 and I LOVE them! I have used them since I got my iPod nano, about 3 years now. I even tried the new Bose in-ear earbuds and the Shure E2Cs. I returned them both and went back to these Philips! I am completely...
