Good Product / Price Valuation: Hard to Find Reason for Buying Something Better

I've had these headphones for 2 years now and am very happy with them despite a couple shortfalls.

90% iPod video
10% Connected to work computer
Headphone use:
35% Airplane / Train / Travelling
65% Office listening
While there are other premium brands available that run $200 , this Philips product provides 75% of the quality at 40% of the price of other 'premium' brands currently available. Have I looked at the premium headphone brand and liked them? Definitely. But I find it very difficult to fork up the extra $$$ for differences that the more expensive brands provide - and I can afford these more expensive models now.
Basically, these headphones are well priced for what you get. If you have picky ears and want to dump $200 on the best, then buy the 'other' best. If you are concerned about how much you spend and want something significantly better than economy or value headphones, then I think these Philips headphones are a good way to go.
I agree with many of the aspects of the previous two reviews [currently] stated here on Epinions. And while my overall evaluation is a thumbs up, the primary concerns I have are:
1) Where the padded headstrap adjust length to the ear speakers, the joints are covered/made of plastic. These plastic slide points started to break off after the first year of regular use for me. While the sound quality and general condition of the product are good, the headset has begun to feel 'cheap' over time in the way it feels solid on my head - though the sound quality remains unchanged since purchase.
2) The bass is not as powerful as I would like it, but perhaps that could be from my iPod or low quality sound card on my computer.
3) the quality of the noise-cancellation is not 100%, but dampens common noise nicely (like airplane noise). I find myself occasionally checking to see if the noise-cancellation is on or whether the battery is still working, and I find it usually is - I just got used to the lower noise level.
4) The whole unit folds up nice, but still fairly thick for the average briefcase.
