Great Picture, low cost, handles scratched DVD's much better than expected, handles many formats including DIVX,MP3, VCD, WMA, JPEG and multi-region code available, also upconverts for more resolution. Handles compressed video formats better than expected.
Lousy Remote, time delays turning on and ejecting, missing cable for hookup to HDMI. It is NOT ready straight from the box, you have to go out and buy that darn cable! Upconvert is not as good as a $200 player, but so what, it's still quite good.
For the low price, it's well worth it, because Picture Quality is better than a regular dvd player, and it handles defective dvd disks better as well. My old dvd player would get stuck on a scratched dvd, and this player just goes on to the next frame without much delay. The Remote is OK, but should have been designed better, because it is hard to find the Main Menu Button, and the Eject Button is missing. Also the DVD Player has an annoying delay when first turned on, and will not eject the disk presently inside unless you wait and wait some more, and pressing the Eject Button is ignored for about 15 seconds, and that's very annoying, however for the low price, solid operation, and very high quality picture, it's a very good deal. The DVD player does NOT come with and HDMI Cable, you have to buy it separately!
