Loved the product, the 30 days it worked

The Bottom Line: It seems extremely hit or miss to me, since the product bugs clearly are not resolved. So good luck if you're a gambler.
Review: I did a lot of research (2-3 months) last spring before I found the dvdr I wanted. An HDD big enough and a DVD recorder to burn stuff. So I spent $300 and got the Phillips, a decent brand.

The first month it worked beautifully. Everything...

Fantastic price and functionality for my purposes

The Bottom Line: Great if you don't have an HD TV and do not want to pay a monthly fee. May want an extended warranty based on some reliability problems others have had.
Review: Having read the extensive reviews of other posters and generally agreeing with the pros and cons that have been written, I will add some notes for those that may have a projector set up.

I chose the Phillips instead of another Tivo Series...

Impressive recorder for DVD and DVR use

The Bottom Line: Lots of features in this DVD/DVR device. The manual is actually decent. Great step up from just a plain DVD recorder.
Review: The Philips DVDR3575H is a DVD recorder and a 160 GB hard drive DVR in one unit offering 1080p upconvert capabilities and a digital/analog tuner.
