overall, a great TV for the money

The Bottom Line: A Great TV.
the picture is awesome. great viewing angle, nice bright vibrant natural looking picture. i prefer the natural appearance this TV offers compared to the clay-like look on a Samsung DLP set. hands down this is better than DLP and I think eventually LCOS will win the microdisplay battle, especially if Intel ever stops procrastinating and jumps in the LCOS game.
on the downside, i wasn't pleased to find that PixelPlus and Digital Natural Motion are only available for standard inputs! when viewing a standard tv station through a component connection, pixel plus would have been great. i dont' understand philips logic on this since they advertise pixelplus so much. my comcast cable box has a DVI out. when i connected it to the TV through the DVI out the picture was horrible. so i decided to hook up my cablebox through a component connection instead and my DVD player (a Denon 1910) through the DVI. Regardless if the DVD player is connected through DVI or component medium speed motion on the TV is jumpy which is starting to bother me, especially since the Denon is supposed to be a good DVD player. Through the cable box I don't get this jumpy behavior. HD sports are amazing on this thing!!!
