Great TV, if it worked

My husband and I bought this tv and loved it, except after 1 day we started getting the replace lamp error.

Long story short, after 1 year, about 10 days off for service people to come out, 1 complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and a broken tv sitting in our family room for 1 year, we are getting a SMALLER replacement tv from Phillips (they won't even match it).

Phillips says it is a known problem, but don't know how to fix it....it happens on some of the tv's and not on others, they have no idea why and can't fix it. Don't buy this tv (or any other Phillips), there are others out there that are way better! Plus the service that Phillips provides is a nightmare!!!!
