Philips 55PL9774 55 in. HDTV LCOS TV

I could not be happier with this TV. It has one particular characteristic that I could only find on much more expensive Plasma TV's. Every other LCD, CRT and DLP projection screen I looked at has a "sunspot" (my name for it)... that is, a bright center light at the center of your point of view, dissipating to a darker picture as your eyes look further away from its center. This TV looks consistently bright all the way across the screen, even when viewed as far off-center as 45 degrees. Only a $7,000 plasma screen has this consistent quality. I am extremely happy that I found this TV before they discontinued production. I'm sorry they are discontinuing it. I guess it was too expensive a manufacturing process. I just might buy another while I can!
