Big bang for the buck

by   postmanrr1 ,  Mar 27, 2005
Pros: Excellent picture, good sound, very simple to operate.
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: Last of current, proven dependable technology- below bargain price - will last until new technology sets are shown dependable and cheaper -- but not necessarily a better picture!
Review: We bought this TV to replace a 60" Mitsubishi that died after 15 years. We shopped all the varieties of TV's available in the large screen arena, dreading it would take several thousand dollars to replace our big screen. Without dragging out this review, ...

by   darrylbouch ,  Jan 20, 2006
Pros: picture quality, options within menu, and sound quality
Cons: only one HDTV input.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this purchase
Review: Well here I am buying a big screen. Purchased it and brought it home. I hooked it up using a digital cable box, using a high quality s-video cable. Also hooked up a DVD player using a high quality component (Y-Pb-Pr)cable. I really wish this TV had more ...

It would be hard to beat the quality and price

by   mitchellhg ,  Apr 20, 2005
Pros: Excellent set that anyone should consider if interested in a low budget TV.
Cons: Can't find any.
Review: I purchased this set several weeks ago and could not be more pleased. You can purchase this set at WalMart for less than 1000.00 and purchase an extended warranty for less than 100.00 that covers an additional three years after the manufactures 1 year ...

by   jlaurence ,  Dec 10, 2005
Pros: LARGE WIDESCREEN, GOOD QUALITY, GOOD BASS, GOOD PICTURE AT AN ANGLE, PRICE
Cons: NONE
Review: AFTER MY 32" PANASONIC KEPT SHUTTING OFF ON ME, I DECIDED TO REWARD MYSELF WITH A BIGGER TV. NOT WANTING TO SPEND MORE THAN $1000, I FOUND THE 51" MAGNAVOX. BIG WIDESCREEN PICTURE, GOOD LOOKS, GOOD SOUND AND PRICE ($999) WAS EVERYTHING I WAS LOOKING FOR. ...

51MP392H Great Value

by   mworr ,  Oct 21, 2007
Pros: Great Picture, 4 inputs (3 in the back and 1 on the side)
Cons: Sound could be better. If you have a home theater system that's not a problem.
Review: This rear projection HDTV has a really crisp high definition picture and video games look great on it. No problems since i bought it almost three years ago. ...

Big TV, not a big price....

by   derwood5555 ,  Dec 27, 2005
Pros: Low price, great picture, big screen. Lots of adjustments, including convergence.
Cons: Old technology, remote not universal
Review: Bought this from Rex a couple of months ago for $800. My previous TV was a 27" Sanyo. What can I say? Its got a great picture and didnt cost me a fortune.. No, its not a DLP or a plasma screen, but I'm not into paying multiples of thousands of dollars ...

Great TV

by   hstagnaro ,  Nov 13, 2004
Pros: Wonderful picture, slim profile, ease of use,
Cons: remote is not universal
Review: I had been shopping for a new TV for some time now and when I spotted the Magnavox after much debate I bought it. I was a little nervous about the quality of picture and sound for the money but boy was I impressed when I got it. The picture is fabulous ...

The Little 52" Projector That Could!

by   kasr01 ,  Jan 22, 2005
Pros: Great price/picture, HD capable, built in speakers and bass.
Cons: Only one HD hookup.
Review: When my fiance' said we should get a big screen, I was all over it! We looked at Plasma, LCD, CRT, Projector, DLP...the works. Our budget was a little limited, but we did have enough to play around with. After looking at SEVERAL $1600 models, I ...

SWEET!!!!

by   hattiesburgms ,  Aug 9, 2005
Pros: Picture is great for the price.....$899
Cons: Haven't found anything wrong yet
Review: I just purchased this TV from REX one week ago. The picture is really amazing for the price.......under $900.00. The top of the TV is wide enough for my VCR, TIVO and DVD player. I hooked up RCA video cables and the picture got even better. So far I am ...

Wal-mart wonder; Good, but not the all time greatest.

by   plvick ,  Nov 18, 2004
Pros: Vivid bright colors, good digital controls, 1080i for under a grand.
Cons: Brightness uniformity problems, not the sharpest detail, shifting image, only one HD input.
Review: Hard to beat at $992, in fact, it seems impossible to beat. The next closest "deal" is a $999 Panasonic from CompUSA, but that unit is vaporware (on their site, but not in stock anywhere). For an HDTV compatible entry level unit, it's worth every penny. ...
