Cons:
Some users report quality control issues
Less than top-notch phone support reported
The Bottom Line:
This Philips is the best 37" LCD out there except the Sony Bravia. It definately is the best value in 37's.

This TV is the best of breed in 37" LCD's at the moment.
I paid $1499 at Best Buy for it..free delivery. What a great deal. The Triple tuners are excellent. They decode everything. The menuing system is average..but improving..as you can self-update it with the USB drive. The design is sleek and modern. It is light, has very good audio, tons of ins and outs (dual HDMI!)and the picture is tremendous. I saw it against 8 other brands and it beat all the others except the Sony (which is significantly more $$).
It's S-IPS LCD is just a better technology. It is obviously the next generation LCD. It looks super clear, vibrant and rich. It is beautiful.
Watch a 1360 x 800 pixel still image from your flashdrive and you'd better be sitting down. It's jaw-dropping. The Pixel-Plus DSP from Philips does what it says. Films on a 480P DVD player over HDMI or Component in -look like Film.
I could see every hair and minute facial features on close-ups. When all sat service is 720P - and HD-DVD settles out, you may spend a considerable percentage of the day in front of this set! I'm watching a good DVD with Landscapes now, and if you told me it was 720P HD, I'd believe it (and I'm a retired broadcast Chief Engineer). I'm using an OPPO 971A player on HDMI input.
Conclusion: This is the one -if you work for your money. Hat's off to the Philips engineers. Well Done!
