Philips 37PF7320A/37 best 37" LCD around

by   kubotabx2200 ,  Aug 19, 2005
Pros: OUTSTANDING picture beats Sharp, HDTV tuner, HDMI inputs, CableCARD, decent remote, good value
Cons: Lacks "TV Guide On Screen", menus a bit complex.
The Bottom Line: Outstanding picture quality & connectivity: the Philips 37PF7320A leads the field in 37" LCD sets. Great value for the money and loaded with good features. A little complex perhaps.
Review: OVERVIEW The 37PF7320A/37 is Philips' newest high definition TV in a 37" range. This is a TRUE high definition TV not a "HD capable" set (which is just a fancy name for a high-resolution monitor that needs a tuner). The 37PF7320A/37 has a ...

A great TV for the price

by   billybuddut ,  Jul 18, 2006
Pros: Firmware upgradeability, 2 HDMI inputs, Great picture quality
Cons: remote not programmable, Cable card does not support on demand
The Bottom Line: Excellent picture quality, ample High Def. inputs, sleek design and good sound make this an easy recommend.
Review: The first thing that appealed to me about this set was the LCD technology. I live in the mountains, and although it seems they may have fixed the high altitude issues experienced with Plasma, I did not want to make a several thousand dollar wager. There ...

Excellent TV

by   kreblon ,  Jun 25, 2006
Pros: Superb Picture Lots of I/O Triple tuners FlashDrive firmware update
Cons: Some users report quality control issues Less than top-notch phone support reported
The Bottom Line: This Philips is the best 37" LCD out there except the Sony Bravia. It definately is the best value in 37's.
Review: This TV is the best of breed in 37" LCD's at the moment. I paid $1499 at Best Buy for it..free delivery. What a great deal. The Triple tuners are excellent. They decode everything. The menuing system is average..but improving..as you can self-update it ...

Phillips 32pf7320a from costco

by   jakslh ,  Apr 11, 2006
Pros: Picture quality; Sleek Styling; Good sound; DCR ready; 2 HDMI inputs
Cons: screen size; guide would be nice
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for digital cable subscribers - out of the box functionality and great picture quality. No risk of burn-in.
Review: I completely agree with nearly every comment made by kubotabx2200. Great job on the review kubota! I will add just a few additional comments from my own experience. I picked up the 32" version of this set from costco for $1299 in April, 2006. My ...

Some annoying problems

by   gjohnson126 ,  Jan 3, 2007
Pros: Great picture especially the HD shows Good price Good speakers
Cons: AVL never worked Goes blue screen Philips support no help Won't remember last picture setting
Review: I've had my HDTV about 6 months. I bought it on Ebay from 2ndAct. It is a refurbed unit but was warranted for 90 days by Philips and I bought an extended warranty. I have not had a service person out to look at it. The screen sometimes goes blue for now ...

Phillips 37PF7320A 37 in. HDTV-Ready LCD Television

by   markguns ,  Nov 13, 2005
Pros: Can update TV software via usb port, allows you to run slides shows.
Cons: TV menu, 2nd Component input Digital audio only.
The Bottom Line: Would only purchase this set from a dealer you could easily return it to. Reliability? Overpriced set, connectivity poor
Review: I purchased this TV Sept 05 from Costco. Initially I had a problem with image quality in 480p (around edges of images) and some noticeable lag with quick movement. About a month later the picture went really south on me. In 1080i & 720p I have red and ...

Great set, major cable card problems

by   sladowski ,  Apr 12, 2006
Pros: Fantastic picture, good looking design, plenty of ports
Cons: Cablecard problems, set locked up, cumbersome remote, required 60" mounting bracket
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this under any circumstance if you plan to use it with a Cablecard.
Review: Bought this set at Costco after I returned a 37" Sharp Aquos for pixilation problems. Set seemed to work fine, except Cablevision had a real tough time setting up some preimum channels through the cablecard. Took about a half dozen visits including ...

No a good TV or I suspect brand

by   theskidder ,  Jan 22, 2008
Pros: was a nice tv when it worked
Cons: not a good value for a tv that only works for 2 years.
Review: I have one of the above mentioned TVs and it stopped working less than 2 years after purchase. I can think of at least 4 other TV's that I own of have owned that are/(were) a minimum of 7 years old (mostly Sony) that never had any problems and were ...
