Big rip-off

The Bottom Line: Wait for this to drop to $50, then don't get the use it with the bulky cleaner
Review: I got this thing in November and it gave me the same shave, (or slightly better if i spent 10 plus minutes working on it) as I had been getting for years with other shavers. I got on their site and asked for help. I was told to just give it 3 weeks...

Arcitec 1050 Razor...not too good

The Bottom Line: My final recommendation is that potential customers should steer clear of this particular product.  There are too many negative points associated with this product for the price paid.
Review: In my opinion, Philips/Norelco really blew it with the advent of their new arcitec 1050 shaver.  My wife purchased this for me as a replacement for my lost Smart Touch 9160 XL. 

The high points include a really close shave, large shaving...

The Bottom Line: Try this out using the Norelco 45 day guarantee. If it performs better for you, keep it. Otherwise, downgrade to a Spectra or similar Norelco model and save $20-$50.

The Head falls off Arcitec 1050 all the time

Review: When the blades stays on you get not a bad shave, however it falls off at least 4 times when I am shaving. This is a very bad design feature, I have uses Philips shavers for many years this one looks good but it does not work very well.

Review: I bought the Norelco Arcitec for my nephew a few years ago, and he says it is the best electric shaver he has ever used. He's never had a closer shave, and maintenance / cleaning is simple and hassle-free. Good battery life as well.
