The Best One So Far!
Pros:
sleek design, smooth writing, refillable, extra long eraser, good grip, advances well - Great overall!
Cons:
none - maybe a little pricey
The Bottom Line:
I recommend this pencil because compared to all the mechanical pencils, this one is the best. It looks good, writes good, and has many features. A great overall mechanical pencil.

Author's Review
I have been looking around for a good pencil and I finally found one! I dislike regular wooden pencils because they always have to be sharpened and also the grip isn't that comfy. When I started looking for a mechanical pencil, I tried out several before trying this one. I started out with one pencil, I can't remember the brand, but it was only so-so and the lead got stuck often. Then I tried a Bic mechanical pencil. It was pretty good. Nothing fancy, but got the job done. The only problem I had with it was that the eraser was too small and short. After I little while I had already used it up. The next pencil I tried was the Advancer by PaperMate. It is a mechanical pencil that is supposed to automatically advance the lead. Sounds good, right?? Wrong! It might be a good idea, but it needs some work. First, it has a small and short eraser. Second, it has no soft grip (It doesn't have any grip and its odd shape doesn't allow you to put one one). Next, you can't refill it. What good it that? Finally, and most importantly, it stinks when it comes to advancing. When your writing and it is starting to get low, it should start advancing the lead. Well, it doesn't. You start scraping a hole in the paper with the plastic tip that should be pumping out lead. Even if you keep tapping it on the paper it still doesn't come out. And there is no button just in case you need to do it manually. After returning this, I saw the PHD pencil (also by PaperMate). This turned out great! It was refillable, had an extremely long eraser, had a sleek design, good grip, wrote very smooth, and you could actually advance it. I am very happy with it and still continue to use it.
P.S. - PaperMate also makes the PHD pencil in a pen and a multi-function pen (blue ink, red ink, and a pencil all in one.) These also work well.
