Author's Review
Let me just say that it says a lot about me that PEOPLE is one of the highlights of my week! This magazine has become a minor addiction to me, much as Cafe Grande Mocha from Starbucks. (PEOPLE is less expensive, though!)
PEOPLE has a lot of interesting features to me. I thoroughly enjoy the obvious: the celebrities, their lives, their loves, their clothes! I enjoy the feature "WHERE ARE THEY NOW?", on stars that were famous in the past. (Brady Bunch kids are a fine example). I also thoroughly enjoy the reviews on books, magazines, tv shows, movies and music. I do find that I have quite differing opinions than most of those offered by the critics, but at least I get the general idea of what's being reviewed.
I may be alone on this one, but I feel like they've started focusing quite a bit on "everyday people" who've made a contribution to our society. I enjoy that aspect, as well.
Overall, this is a part of my week that is a lovely escape. Just to sit and read the magazine from cover to cover is a treat! (Let's not forget the Crossword Puzzle...)
