I will be writing a review of the PDLEBPF model Quicker-Clicker.
Things I liked: I love almost everything about this pencil; it is the best I have ever used. Most companies say that their erasers are refillable, however, I have searched for years for refill erasers without success. The most widely available refill erasers that I have found have been for this model. Its erasers are good quality; they are rubber but do not harden with time and erase dark lead marks easily. The way the eraser fits into the pencil is also genius, as you put the eraser into a metal holder and then into the pencil itself. This is good for several reasons. First, it holds the eraser in place very securely. This makes it so that you can almost use the entire eraser. When the eraser starts to be worn, remove it from its holder. Instead of shoving it all the way into the holder, just put it down halfway. The holder squeezes the eraser so tightly once you put it into the pencil that it is just as easy to erase with as a full eraser is. Although the holder squeezes the eraser quite tightly, it's still very easy to remove from the pencil itself. I also really liked how the pencil comes with a cap that fits over top of the eraser: this keeps the eraser looking clean and white. Also, when the eraser gets low and slightly unshaped, you can just cover it up with the eraser cap and the pencil still looks like new. Every package of refill erasers also comes with a new metal cap, in case the original one weakens, (I did not find this to be a problem, however).
there is also a metal pocket clip on the side of the pencil. If you have a habit of sliding your finger underneath the pocket clip while you work, a metal clip is perfect because it will not weaken, as plastic ones do. The clip also holds on to paper securely.
you have the option of using a see-through barrel, which is great for seeing how much lead you have left. The barrel also holds up to 15 leads at a time.
This pencil is very fast at advancing new lead. It only takes 19-20 clicks of the pencil's side grip clicker to move the lead from the barrel to when it's ready to be written with. No shaking required; most other pencils are a pain to get the lead to emerge from their tips.
The side grip is wonderful, as it adds a slight thickness to the pencil for easier writing. This doesn't, however, add to the weight of the pencil. The pencil isn't flimsy and so it has long life as well as easy writing ability, and it isn't so heavy that it is awkward to write with.
The tip of the pencil is metal so that it will not wear down. It also extends from the tip of the pencil far enough that it protects lead from being broken. If you like a long piece of lead to write with, this is wonderful because it makes it more difficult to accidentally snap the lead while writing. The pencil's durability is also top-notch. I've been using the same pencil for six months and it still works just as well as it did the day I bought it.
Things I did not like: I have a bit of a habit of twisting off the eraser's cap, which weakens it after a while. If you do this too much it will start to fall off on its own, and the pencil doesn't look quite right without it. Also, I couldn't find a package of these pencils by themselves anywhere. When I buy them, I have to buy them in a package with two refill erasers and a refill package of lead. This isn't so bad, as I can use the refill erasers anyway. Also, the pocket clip is strong enough that it is difficult to clip it to anything other than paper, and even on paper, it is hard to use.
