SUPER PEN!!!
Date of Review: Mar 15, 2009
The Bottom Line: This is a really good pen for it's price and capabilities.
I never noticed how good this pen was until I was in college and started doing a lot of writing. The qualities of this pen makes it a good investment for most any writing task you may have.
Price
This pen has kind of a wide price range that can go anywhere from $1.50-$6.00. The price will just depend on what pack you get. You can get this pen in packages of one, two, three, or more. Obviously the more pens there are in the package, the higher the price will be.
Body
One thing that I really like about this pen is its length. It is about 5 inches long, but if you put the top on the end then it is closer to 6 inches. Compared to most cheap pens, the body on the Pentel R.S.V.P is a little thicker. The body of the pen is also transparent so you are able to see how much ink you have left so you don't sit there trying to get it to work for five minutes. The top of the pen is also clear and has a clip for clipping it to a pocket or notebook. The lid is also big enough that it covers the entire rubber grip helping keep it clean when not in use.
Grip
To make this pen even more comfortable it has a rubber grip at the bottom of the pen, where your fingers usually go. This rubber grip is also to help the pen from slipping out of your hand. The rubber grip is about an inch long and has little round indentations to help make it not slip as most other pens.
Colors
This pen can come in a variety of colors such as; red, green, blue, violet, and your traditional black. The grip of the pens are the same color as the ink inside. So if you have a red pen then the rubber grip will be red, too. This is very helpful because you can easily grab the color you want instead of having to guess the color.
Ink
The ink for this pen writes very smooth. It doesn't leave blotches behind like typical cheap pens. The ink also doesn't smear easily. I am left handed so when I write my arm always sweaps across and smears, but when I use this pen the ink didn't smear as easily and stayed clear. Another cool thing about this pen is that when you run out of ink you can just go down to the store and buy a new ink cartridge.
Don't get lazy
Now if you get a little lazy and don't put the cap on when you're done using it, you will probably end up with ink somewhere on your body. That just tells you how smooth this ink goes on!!!
