Better than the .7mm version

I loved the .7mm version of this pen, except I hated that it made my writing huge. I use .5mm pencils, and prefer using smaller pens so my messy writing at least looks neater. So yesterday I discovered that my favorite pen (Pentel Energel) came in a smaller size - and promptly went out and bought two packs of it.

I LOVE this smaller size. It's got a "needlepoint" tip, much like the tip on some mechanical pencils. This makes it easier to see what you are writing, since you don't have a huge barrel blocking the way. From what I can tell, it's got the exact same rollerball design as the .7mm pen, so the ink comes out just as smoothly. Sometimes, with "needlepoint" type pens, the tip is scratchy, but not with this one. It's just as smooth as the bigger versions.
