A little gem

I use a Panasonic DMC-FZ10PP with a 12 X zoom for travel pictures but got tired of hauling around this relatively small but somewhat bulky camera, so I looked for a pocketable one which I could always have with me. It took me a while to settle on the Optio X, but boy, I am glad I did. I have used a swivel-lens Nikon before, so I know how useful this same system is on the Optio: I can shoot unbeknownst to the subject, over the crowds' heads, and with the monitor screen out of the direct sun. Some reviews mentioned poor picture quality. I certainly do not agree. The 5 megapixels give me all the resolution I will ever need. The software provides more options than I am likely to use, if I ever get through trying them all out. The monitor screen is sharp. The control buttons are small but logically located. It is amazingly small. With a 1 Gig card it takes all the shots I can possibly need. I highly recommend this little marvel.
