Stylish on the outside...

The Bottom Line: This camera is so enticing because of its looks and great zoom, but the quality of the pictures is horrible.
I got this camera last week to take pictures of my children at their halloween parties at school. I then returned it 5 days later. No matter how I took the pictures, either autofocus or manual focus, the camera did not take clear enough pictures. I took a dozen shots of a colorful item and no matter where i stood or whether I used the digital, optical or no zoom, 3/4 of the pictures were horrible. I was even more upset to find that outdoors, the pictures were worse. The pictures were either blurry or very grainy. I tried in vain to fix it with software, but it couldnt fix it.
The main problem is that the pictures look perfect in the viewfinder, but when you upload them to your computer, you will see all the imperfections. Sadly, my software couldnt fix the problems. When you print out the pictures to 4X6, they were so bad.
I must have printed atleast 30 shots to bring in to the store to prove to the store that the camera was defective. When I showed them the pictures, they said that they were "too pixelated". I really loved the size of this camera and was extremely disappointed that this didnt work out for me. I'm hoping that the s4 is a step up because I have returned the optio S for the optio S4.
