This stroller was one of the best decisions I have made since I learned I was going to be the father of triplet girls.
At first impression its size will scare most people. However, it is very easy to store inside a van. The three seats are removable and the sides collapse into the frame with the handle over them. The biggest unit is the base with the four big wheels. These do not rotate, as other models I saw before deciding for the Peg Perego, but I found this to be one of its best features. For a stroller this size it is very easy to maneuver and it will fit almost any elevator. It is well balanced and can be turned on a dime.
My wife and I have found this stroller to be the best helper all around as it allows us to go out with the kids without needing to have the other around. This freedom is very important to us. Specially if she needed to take the kids to the doctor or to the mall by herself.
It takes less than five minutes to assemble / dis-assemble once you get used to the system, which is very simple to operate.
Our girls are one and a half years old now and the stroller has kept its paces with them. It is very strong, it has good shock absorber springs, that help us in rocking them to sleep.
The seats have accommodated very well to the growth of the girls. It has a five point seatbelt system that securely fastened the girls onto their seats. At almost thirty pounds each, the girls still fit nicely on their seats. And even adding almost 100 lbs of weight to the stroller (three girls about 30 lbs each + a bag full of diapers, bottles, formula and baby food) it is still easy to push around and maneuver.
The seats can be installed facing forward or backwards, and in case you only take two of the kids at a time, you can even place them facing each other minus the center seat.
As far as drawbacks go, there is very little to say. One of the tires fell off the rim when moving the stroller sideways. This is usually not required to maneuver the stroller, just to get into tight spaces. This has just happened twice and it was very easy to place the tire back on the rim.
I would highly recommend this Peg Perego Triplette Stroller to anyone. And I'm pretty sure it will still serve a new family when our kids grow out of it.
