Definitely NOT "Primo"
Date of Review: Apr 3, 2008
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this seat just because it fits with the stroller. It is so uncomfortable that, like us, you may not even use it with the stroller.
We borrowed this seat from a friend because we bought the Pliko P3 stroller (which I love). While it is a little difficult to snap it correctly into the stroller, it snaps smoothly and easily into the car base, and removes easily as well, which is great. However, that is one of its only pros.
We find that the seat is uncomfortable for our baby for a number of reasons. First, it sits at too upright an angle, so when he falls asleep his head slumps forward. Second, the head rest is too small--we had to remove it entirely because it was constantly jabbing into his head or neck. Thirdly, the over-the-shoulder straps are too low, and cut into his little shoulders when we tighten it (this happens even though we have it on the largest setting possible). Overall, the seat has seemed very cramped and small for our son ever since he was about 10 or 12 pounds--that's not good considering it's supposed to last until over 20 pounds! The lack of comfort caused our son to cry whenever we put him in it. His obvious discomfort in the seat meant that we hardly ever even bothered to snap it into the stroller, since he couldn't wait to get out of it--which, of course, negates the only reason we decided to use the seat in the first place.
On a safety note, we have found the belt straps extremely difficult to tighten adequately. As mentioned above, they cut into his shoulders, but don't seem to be very tight over his torso (I can easily slip my whole hand between him and the strap, which is just too loose). It is also quite heavy to carry. I only wish I had bought a different seat earlier on--it would have made life so much easier as when we got him a more comfortable seat, the crying during car rides immediately stopped.
