Pros:
Fabrics and colors match Peg strollers, no UGLY red buttons/handles, SAFE with SIP
Cons:
Way too upright - baby's head lops forward. Hood is poorly designed, too small
The Bottom Line:
Save your $$$ and purchase another manufacturer's carseat. Your child will be MUCH happier!

Wow, what a disappointment the SIP has been! It's interesting that with all of the careful research I have done for most of the baby and products we have purchased...the one that I did NOT review turned out to be one of more expensive items and also one that we are least satisfied with. I purchased the 2007 Peg Perego UNO in Mod Verde--- which is a wonderful, versatile stroller (a little on the heavy side) and naturally, I also purchased the matching carseat with SIP. Being a first time parent...I really didn't consider the significance of the recline of the seat itself and that there would actually be a substantial difference between different brands of carseats. Our son RARELY fell asleep in his carseat from day one...and even when he did, it was a very light sleep...and now I understand why. I noticed that my niece, who was born a few weeks after our baby, ALWAYS sleeps soundly in her carseat in restaurants etc. and that's when I also noticed that the GRACO carseat they have is much more reclined, cradles the baby's body AND has a 180 degree visor --- a feature that is PRICELESS! We have since purchased a GRACO Safeseat in French Roast to go along with our UNO stroller (which comes with a strap to attach other manufacturer's carseats). Furthermore, another reviewer indicated that it's 'pointless to have SIP' if the baby's head keeps lopping forward because the seat is too upright...that has also been our experience. Also, we have always needed to use a blanket on top of the stroller to block out bright lights etc due to the design of the hood of the carseat; in addition to this, the hood keep 'clicking' out of positions and constantly needs to be 're-clicked'. Needless to say, our son now sleeps VERY soundly in his new carseat...and in general seems much more satisfied with our new purchase! Save your $$$$ and opt for a different carseat EVEN if it doesn't match your Peg stroller as nicely!
