Author's Review
This stroller was, perhaps, the best baby gift we've received. We're now on our second child with it and it still looks terrific and works just as well! I still get that (what I refer to as) "stroller envy" when we are out and about with it and I'm still pleased to have it. I had a moment where I thought I should trade in for a Bugaboo, but when I considered the price and how versatile and lovely this stroller works, I thought again!
I love the fact that it:
1. Looks stylish - when we were initially looking for a stroller, my husband immediately said "no pink, no light green, no pooh bear or I won't push it!". We both zoomed in on the Peg Perego and the toffee color. It is unassuming, but looks cool - no crazy colors here. My husband is pretty understated, so this is perfect for him!
2. It maneuvers like a dream! You can whip this stroller around without a hiccup. In and out of doors, in the mall, on the sidewalk - it's a dream to push. The double wheels make this happen.
3. The tray in front is detachable - which is nice as your child gets older and might not want to feel so "confined".
4. Holds the Graco Snugride infant seat. This was the highest rated infant seat that we wanted and it was so nice that it snuggly fits into this stroller. The sales person at Babies R Us did a fabulous job of demonstrating how it fits in the stroller and selling us on the pluses of that car seat (the Peg Perego seat doesn't get as high marks).
5. The seat reclines for sleeping - it would be nice if it would go a little flatter, but it has worked well for us.
6. This stroller travels terrifically! We have taken this on well over 12 trips and it has sometimes traveled better than our kids! It easily fits through security screening, folds up fast and reopens faster (great when you're already holding up the security line with your kids, gear, shoes, etc!!).
7. Fast one-handed folding (as well as being compact) and stands upright on it's own - making it easier and faster to get it and you back into your car!
8. Adjustable handles. If you're taller you can adjust them so that the handles are longer - making it much more comfortable to push.
There are only a few things that I'm not thrilled with, but none were deal breakers for me:
1. The cup hold is pretty minuscule. It will only hold a small bottle of water - no venti lattes here, but that's ok. (We use Avent bottles and they do not fit in the cup holder.)
2. The basket underneath is not huge and not "toss it in" accessible - somethings take a bit of maneuvering to fit in, but I will usually just hook them on the handles anyway.
