The Bottom Line: Pearl Harbor is a good idea for a movie that was just to overcome with hype to please everyone, as well as too long. See it when you have time.

more romance than action

The Bottom Line: I'd say give it a watch. It is pretty long, but some people might actually enjoy it. 
Review: I was expecting a lot of action. Okay, there was action, but mainly focused on the romance plot of the movie. I don't think it really portrayed the true events of Pearl Harbor as much as it could have.

Rude Japanese Interrupt Love Affair.

The Bottom Line: See it if you enjoy a long love story sandwiched between action scenes.  But don't blindly accept it as history.

Well, it had a monstrous budget and professionally competent actors, but it's not worth much mention. I suppose it accomplished its goal, which was to use computer-generated effects and make money.
