Pearl Harbor is a movie that shows everything about what happened in real life back in the 1900`s. It is an epic tale about that gruesome day when the Japanese bombed the beautiful harbor. For those of you who look forward to a good plot, Pearl Harbor is the movie to see.
Awesome explosions and plane flying will have you hanging onto the edge of your seat throughout the movie. The birds’ eye view of the harbor in one scene is spectacular. A hint of a love story will give the movie a bit of action if you know what I mean. It is like two different stories mixed into one great movie people of all ages will enjoy.

This exciting movie explains the plans of the Japanese and the precise way they bombed the harbor. It really is the best way to understand why and how they did that horrible thing. The Japanese always speak their own language, so it is kind of hard to read when there is a white background mixed with the white words. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Japanese plan out their attack though. They even gave the reasons why and why to whom they did it.

Josh Harnett and Ben Afflek give the movie just the right touch. I do think that the women are total stereotypes of what nurses are like. I mean Evelyn (Beckinsale) always falls for the bad boy. The guys (Hartnett and Afflek) will do stuff they could ¨ get kicked out for¨, to please her. She definitely needs a little touching up in that area. On the other hand, Hartnett and Afflek straighten out the plot with a great fight over her.

Afflek and Hartnett, as Rev and Danny, work great together in movie. Even if they are always mad at each other, they still get their job done. There is absolutely no exaggeration on any of the teamwork or how they handle their tasks. Together, these two light up the screen as two pilots, some of the best in the business. They work hard and have fun, even if it gets them into trouble. But when Rev gets sent away to fight for another team of pilots who are loosing their battle, Danny (Hartnett) falls for Evelyn
(Beckinsale) when they hear news of Revs death. That seems all right, except for one thing, Rev and Evelyn were formerly together. What till you find out what happens next as the Japanese begin their plans for the attack.

The graphics in this movie are beautifully set up. The graphics are wonderful in most scenes though, and scenes on the ships are cool. I love it when the Japanese drop their first bomb although you can tell it is a fake set up with the dummies. But I think it looks awesome. When you see the planes come zooming into the harbor, it gives you all different kinds of views that you see them coming. In one scene, you see a plane come shooting down from the persons view and you freak out because you think they are shooting at you.

These people just go so well together and make some great magic work on the screen that it seems you are watching live news broadcast. Even the music makes the scenes sadder, madder, happier, etc. Whatever you do, I find this movie seems the best when you watch it on a big screen, because then the explosions seem more real, the fights better and the love story more romantic.

In closing, this movie is definitely one to see with the whole family. Some scenes may be gruesome but that is the way it is in real life. Josh Harnett, Kate Beckinsale, and Ben Afflek are awesome! You will enjoy playing this movie over and over and never get tired of seeing the plans and scenes play themselves out. This movie has it all: action, romance, adventure and intrigue. One thing I would watch out for is all the blood in one scene. But other than that, this movie is spectacular! I definitely rate it four and a half stars out of five for this nail-biting story.
