When I had my son in the middle of summer, our family likes to go camping. We purchased this carrier based on the fact that other ones did not seem as adjustable (I'm 5'1" and my husband is 6'4") so we wanted something that would work for both of us.
After receiving this in the mail (we purchased online) we tried it out with our then 3 year old daughter, and it held her weight just fine.
Our son loves it. You can wear it numerous ways, and it supports up to 35 or 40 pounds.
When he was a newborn, you use the chest-to-chest method, and then as they get older the babies can face you with legs down, face out, hip carry, and the one that I love...a backpack carry.
My son is now 7 months old, and it's great for walking around anywhere when you don't want to take a heavy stroller.
It does take a little while to get the hang of putting it on, but after the first couple of times, it gets a lot easier.
It comes with very clear directions, and a blanket/pocket that you can use for when it's colder outside. I have used both, and I have no complaints.
My family and I went to the circus when my son was about 4 months old, so instead of trying to take a stroller, I used this carrier. It was cold outside, so the blanket went on also, and I carried my son around for about 5 hours. My back did not ache, my shoulders didn't hurt, and it was very comfortable. I'm a huge fan of this carrier based on the fact that it does not require all the weight to be on one side of your body (unless you're using the hip carry, but even then the weight is spread out a little).
I would reccommend this to anyone that is thinking about using a babywearing method.
