PARENTING is a GREAT Magazine

If you are a parent, or are responsible for raising a child, then you should be reading Parenting magazine. It is filled with helpful information and fun facts. Parenting Magazine has a wonderful feature that appears in every issue called the "by-the-ages index". It is an index broken down by age group (for example: Birth to 6 months; 6 months to 1 year, etc.)that lists by topic and page number every item that is relevant to your child based on his or her age. This is a great feature because it allows the reader to quickly look at the index and turn just to the most important pages first and then later read all of the other great stuff.

Along the same lines is a feature called "Ages & Stages". In this section you will find all of the featured articles in the issue broken down once again by age group. The difference between the two lists is simply that the index refers you to each and every time anything about a particular age is mentioned anywhere in the magazine and the other directs you only to one important featured article about each age & stage. Both are very handy and helpful.

Another great and enjoyable thing about Parenting Magazine is the fact that this magazine also addresses issues other than those only relevant to our children. For example, there are usually articles dealing with politics, fashions for mom and dad, cooking and many other fun topics. These articles really enhance the magazine and make for a pleasurable reading experience.

Lastly, the most important reason to buy and read Parenting Magazine is for the wonderful information and advice it always contains about raising our children. You will find a monthly section called "Answers From Dr. Sears", which always offers helpful advice on some difficult issues. There is also always a very handy tear-out card dealing with children's safety. (This month it taught you how to save a choking child staring from infancy on - really great to keep near the highchair)

At a subscription price of about $12.00 per year for 12 issues, Parenting Magazine is a real bargain. Happy Reading!
