Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX07 Digital Camera Rivals Canon SD800 IS

Date of Review:  Nov 14, 2006
The Bottom Line: I like the Panasonic FX07 and would choose it over the comparable Canon SD800 IS based on features, performance and price. For now, I am...
Review: I have enjoyed using the 6-Megapixel Panasonic FX01 and now have a chance to use the 7.2-Megapixel Panasonic FX07. The FX07 is similar to the Canon SD800 IS: it has compact design, wide angle lens, large LCD and optical image stabilization. The...

Panasonic Lumix...Don't lose that charger!

Date of Review:  Jun 9, 2007
The Bottom Line: A nice camera for the price. I like it. I would like a charger for the car to come with it. And a carrying case.
Review: This is my camera. I love my little sleek black camera. It is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX7 Digital camera. It takes still pictures with numerous settings, it takes videos that I can put onto my computer with ease.

I bought this camera for...

DMC-FX7: The best ultra-compact digicam so far....

Date of Review:  Mar 8, 2005
The Bottom Line: Has best image quality in the ultra-compact point & shoot class. I bet even professionals would pick this, if they wanted a pocket camera. Yet is very easy to use.
Review: Context:
I have owned several very compact digicams (digital cameras) before this, including the Casio QV-R40 and the Pentax Optio S4.

I generally buy only very small (ultra-compact) digicams, because my usage pattern is that I need...

An appealing camera... not perfect, but very good

Date of Review:  Nov 28, 2006
The Bottom Line: Excellent for anyone who is looking for a compact tool to handle a wide variety of situations. I encourage people to consider it before making other more "obvious" choices.
Review: I purchased this camera after considering models by Canon (SD800) and Fuji (F30, mainly). There were several things that led me to choose Panasonic. First, I felt that the feel of this camera was better than any of its competition. The Fuji was...

Great Camera

Date of Review:  Mar 30, 2007
The Bottom Line: This is an excellent camera for all situations and for anyone to use.
Review: I have owned the Panasonic Lumix FZ10 for several years, but it is quiet bulky and large. It's great for taking fancy picture but not fun to stick in your pocket during a birthday dinner or other fun event.

Because I was already fond of...

Great "Shirt Pocket Shooter"

Date of Review:  Jul 2, 2005
The Bottom Line: My Fiance Loves It! A Great Choice!
Review: As an owner of a Pentax Optio S, I was quite skeptical at first. My Fiance fell "in love" with this camera, almost immediately.

The image quality was amazing, the motion video (something I'm not interested in, but tried out anyway) looks...

well built convenient camera

Date of Review:  Jun 26, 2005
The Bottom Line: I like this Camera but I think Panasonic needs to play some catch-up to Casio and Canon at this point.
Review: I bought this camera because of it's size and the digital image stabilization that I hoped would allow me to take indoor shots without a flash. For the most part I was happy with the camera. It's even smaller then it's physical dimensions suggest...

Image stabilization does not live up to its promises

Date of Review:  Feb 18, 2005
The Bottom Line: The ineffective image stabilization and noisy smallish sensor make it hard to recommend the FX7 for anything but daylight shooting.
Review: For marketing reasons, digicam manufacturers are cramming ever more pixels into ever smaller (and thus cheaper to manufacture) sensors. Something has to give, namely electronic noise, the equivalent of TV static when a signal is not strong enough...

Absolutely Phenomenal.

Date of Review:  Jun 28, 2005
The Bottom Line: It's like having a miniature Leica in your pocket. The size of a cellphone with superior quality and ease of use.
Review: My background is an amateur studio photographer, I grew up with film. I'm also a tech geek, I like to explore all of the camera's options. I never use a camera's onboard flash, I always shoot using available lighting. I take a camera everywhere I...

Fantastic Camera

Date of Review:  Dec 26, 2006
Review: I loved this camera. Fast shutter speed for a digital camera. The burst mode is great for sports. The large LCD looks great and can be backlit for bright sunlight. Quickly get used to not having a viewfinder and with the anti-shake technology helps...
