Great Point and Shoot Camera for Average/Simple User

I have owned it for less than 7 days thus far, and the camera has satisfied me thus far. I did some research prior to buying the FX01 - key points that influenced my decision were:
1. Leica 28mm wide-angle lens in a compact camera
2. Great battery life
3. Stabilizer - other manufacturers do not include it unless priced over $500. It is a must for simple users like me that switch between camera and video mode
4. SD Card compatible
5. Compact size) apparently the smallest 28mm wide-angle lens camera)
6. Cannot beat the price - I got it for $257 (+ Tax)
7. Six (6) MP with 3+ X Optical zoom - good enough for simple people

I did not even open the user manual or the CD - it was very easy to navigate and understand 80% of the features. Reality is a person like me probably uses same features of the camera over 90% of the time. My laptop recognized the camera and installed drivers (via USB port) without any software installation. Picture transfer was flawless. The 30 shots I took indoor and outdoor were great - none were ruined.

In the previous review I see that the user is very unhappy - bad luck!! But I certainly have faith in Panasonic FX01 camera - realizing that lemons are statistically possible.

Overall, good camera for a simple/average. Cannot beat the features in this price point. Leica lens is an added bonus.
