Pros: Great black levels.  Good color.  Very user friendly for the less technical consumers. 

Cons: Doesn't have a swivel base.

The Bottom Line: I would definately recommend this TV to someone else.  It is exactly right for my purposes and perfect for someone looking for a great TV at a fair price.

Advanced anti-glare
Excellent picture quality for cartoons and animation
Above average reputation for customer service

Cons: Poor color depth
Constant color shifting
Unnatural boombox audio
Humble remote with stuck buttons

The Bottom Line: I cannot recommend the Panasonic TH-42PX80U.  If you have the money, buy a Pioneer.  If you don't, buy the Samsung or try a Visio.
