Author's Review

Well, its almost mid of 2009 and I bought my Panasonic from Costco last week (50 inch plasma). Mounted it on Sunday. It's been, well, a full 2 days since I turned the TV on the first time and it has shut down (blinking 7 times). Called Panasonic - they took down all the details and promised to call back (a very polite lady, thankfully)

I am seriously thinking of returning this and going for a Sony.
In looking at the other reviews on this site and on the net, I don't have any confidence that the replacement will be trouble free. Can't take that risk after all the costs and efforts of buying and wallmounting the TV (Panasonic said that I have to get it down for the repairs - which makes sense but I am not looking forward to that exercise - just 2 days after I so proudly mounted it on the wall).
