Transcriber

I work in an office with a social worker who does counseling services with people. She used to do write out her progress notes on paper but recently switched to dictating.

I have not ever dictated in any of my previous jobs so I was a little leary in trying this.

I was instructed to purchase one and start using it.

When I brought it back to the office, I thought it was a great machine. I am good at typing, but have not had the experience transcribing. This machine has a foot pedal and when you take your foot off the pedal- to catch up typing- it automatically goes backwards just a little bit. You can adjust how far back it rewinds also. This is great because it allows you to listen again to what you just typed.

Another great feature that it has is the quick erase. When you are done with the tape, with the press of a couple buttons, it will erase as you rewind it.

Overall, this is a great product.
