Great Phone at reasonable price

I have had , over the years, many cordless phones. I purchased this phone after reading reviews on other sites. I was interested in buying a DECT 6.0 phone because I have a wireless network and weather station and intelligent fence to keep the dog in the yard. All transmit RF signals. I was very unsatisfied with my Uniden cordless noisy, lousy battery and it would disconnect from a call without reason and very poor range. The Panasonic, while not perfect,is a very good purchase and I am happy with the phones.
The phone has great sound quality and no static or other background noise After using the Uniden for two years my wife said she was startled with the lack of background noise on the phone when she talks to her friends.The three phones were easy to set up and I have much greater range both on the second floor and in the basement as well as on the patio. The answering machine is a basic system but like most system I hit the message button to hear the message and delete them when I am finished. The messages can be heard on any of the phones and on the base station.
The phone buttons are big and east to read. but are not backlit ,there is a small neon light on the top of each phone which lights up the phone without being distracting.
My biggest complaint about this phone is lack of ring tones.
