Great Phone! Have Purchased Twice

The Bottom Line: Buy these phones.
We are on our second set of these phones. The only reason we had to buy a new set was because my daughter threw one of them in the bathtub. The remaining phone from the first set was still used until my husband set it on his car and drove off with it still there.
I read the reviews about this having a short battery life but that is not the case with ours. We leave them off the charger the majority of the time and never have them go dead. I can honestly say they have never gone completely dead.
The range on these is great too. I have talked on them outside my house in the front and back yards. I have taken this phone all the way to my mailbox with no issues.
The clarity is amazing. These are the first cordless phones that I have owned that have no static, or bits of silence during a call. They sound just like talking on a corded phone.
The answering machine works very well too. I like how easy it is to change the outgoing message. It also has the capability to check messages away from home. You can use the handheld units to check the messages from anywhere in your home.
One other feature worth mentioning is that you can program numbers into the phone. When you receive a call from a programmed number, your entry is shown instead of the typical caller ID entry. This is great because my husband has an annoying friend who always talks my ear off, and since he has put in his name I can avoid his calls.
I have had this set for about five years. If something were to happen to them... say they took another swim, I would purchase the same set again.
