Very nice color
Pros:
Great color, good resolution.
Cons:
Image stabilizer not strong enough. Not so great picture under low light.
The Bottom Line:
Overall I feel it's a good camcorder and worth the money.

Author's Review
I only have had this camcorder for a few days. First thing I noticed is that it doesn't seem to perform very well under low light situation. The picture is ok, but the color tends to be dull and resolution is kind of lacking. However, in bright sunny days, the color of outdoor footage can be truly amazing. Crisp, bright, well saturated yet very natural looking. It shocked me when I was viewing it on my TV (a digital Enhanced Definition (ED) 32 inch also made by Panasonic). Stunning.
The EIS (Electronic Image Stabilizer) works quite well outdoor, but indoor and under low light the performance of EIS degrades quickly. I truly wish GS200 could feature a real optical image stabilizer, especially as other people already mentioned GS200 is so small and light weight that it's very hard to hold the camcorder steadily. But again, under bright sun lights the EIS works very well. I also checked quite carefully using EIA TV resolution chart and found that turning on EIS does not seem to noticeably degrade GS200's picture quality and resolution.
One thing I found frustrating is that it's hard to convert GS200's interlaced video into high quality progressive video. The resolution loss is very noticeable no matter how I do it (blend or interpolate) under Vegas 5.0. But to be fair this is not GS200's fault.
Also, bear in mind this is a consumer grade camcorder so by any means it is not going to produce real "broadcast" quality video, at least according to my eyes. The overall quality is good, but I don't believe it should be claimed as approaching broadcast quality. Even it's a 3-CCD configuration, it still has plenty traits of a typical consumer camcorder: low dynamic range, over-sharpening, and kind of harsh in terms of transitions and details.
