Works great for me; handset speakerphone is fabulous

by   davef1999 ,  Apr 30, 2007
Pros: handset speakerphone
Cons: none
Review: I'm a big fan of the 6500, it works much better for me than my previous Pano cordless. In particular, the speakerphone in the handset is so good that in a quiet office I'm always on it and my callers never ...

What's with all the bad reviews???

by   wespaul ,  Dec 28, 2006
Pros: Ease of set up and programming, clear sound, comfortable handset, sleek design
Cons: Does not feature multiple mailboxes. Oh well. I didn't but it for that feature anyway.
Review: Great phone. I must admit, I was real skeptical of buying this phone after reading some of the reviews here. Check out pricegrabber.com for some more (much better) reviews, if you're interested in this phone. I did buy it and am really happy with ...

Not quite perfect, but it's the best cordless I've owned!

by   testing876 ,  Feb 10, 2006
Pros: Perfect Audio and connections 99% of time. Perfect feel. Easy to hold.
Cons: Answering machine playback sounds muffled. Can't save messages "as new", once listened to.
The Bottom Line: I considered the trade-off's when deciding on this phone (ans. machine/low quality). It's perfect signal and the best design for how it fits your hand made it the best available.
Review: After reading all of the other reviews, it's hard to understand why this phone got such poor ratings. I can't be the only one out there who thinks highly of this phone. Maybe only the owners of defective units wrote in. Maybe signal quality varies ...

Very good phone

by   mottsmith ,  May 3, 2005
Pros: Sound quality, easily accessible volume controls on handsets, conference calling, speaker phone on handsets.
Cons: Not that beautiful. Hard to hold between your ear and your shoulder.
Review: I got this phone system to replace an AT&T two-line cordless set-up that became useless when I installed a Wi-Fi network in my home office.& So far, I am quite pleased. The sound quality is more than adequate, the phones are easy to use, and the ...

Nice Features - Poor Audio Quality

by   san-diego-al ,  Feb 11, 2005
Pros: Nice Features
Cons: Audio quality is sadly missing and that negates all the bells & whistles.
Review: With the 6o minute recording time and the 2-line capability, I thought that maybe, just maybe Panasonic finally got their act together and produced a quality phone. The audio quality (as usual), both sending and receiving, was tinny, digital sounding ...

Use the warranty to determine the life of the product.

by   epinions08 ,  Feb 1, 2008
Pros: Good sound and microphone (not great). Worked well at beginning.
Cons: Phone lasted less then 2years. Panasonic customer support is bottom of the barrel (India).
Review: When I originally bought the phone it functioned as well as I expected. My only complaint when I first bought the phone is that none of the current 2-line phones are as comfortable as earlier designs. Those who use a phone all day without a headset may ...

nice features, poor audio quality

by   dantbrown ,  May 24, 2005
Pros: Very good feature set, works well.
Cons: Poor audio quality.
Review: Confirming what the other reviewer wrote, the phone has nice features, but the audio quality is poor. In my case, the poor audio quality is apparent only to me as a user of the phone. When I call someone using the phone, they do not detect any audio ...

Terrible Audio

by   lexi320 ,  Feb 1, 2006
Pros: Lots of features; speaker phone function
Cons: Cannot hear or be heard when using the handset
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this product. There are cheaper telephones with similar functions available that actually work.
Review: This telephone was given to me as a gift. I have telephone conferences quite often from home and needed a telephone with a speaker phone among other features. When I first took the telephone out of the box, I was quite excited reading about and seeing ...

Worst Phone I Have Ever Owned!!!

by   msdeluca ,  Apr 7, 2006
Pros: Great design and layout. Easy operation. Long battery life, great range.
Cons: Outgoing volume is unacceptably low!!! No fast forward feature in answering machine.
Review: I have to yell into the phone in order for people on the other end to hear me. I can hear them fine. The phone has been returned 3 times with no improvement. Customer service is a joke. They require you to return the phone in order to receive a ...

Panasonic KX-TG6500

by   mediyoga ,  Jul 3, 2005
Pros: good design.
Cons: Very poor hand set reception from the base unit.
Review: Don't buy this phone. Unless I bought a lemon (I am checking on this)the handsets do not receive signals even with a slight change of rooms. My old one KX-TG2000B 2.8 GHz works wonderfully well. Shame on Panasonic for marketing such a model. Dr ...
