Panasonic - good name only

I bought the Panasonic KX-FHD331 fax/copier because my other one got damaged - even though I bubble wrapped it 3 times - in my move. Lousy movers.

I got this machine through Office Depot at $90. It isn't a bad machine per se, but not as good as my last one which cost me over $200. THIS IS NOT A MACHINE FOR A BUSINESS OR PROFESSIONAL USE.

It does what it is supposed to do: fax and copy but the copies do not come out too good, they sometimes come out blurred or smeared. Thank goodness I don't run a business. Faxes seem to be ok.

This machine is small and light but it has no answering machine like my last one and you have to push a button to turn it into a fax machine which can be a big problem because if you are going to get a fax, the person has to call you first to let you know that they are sending a fax so you can turn the phone off and the fax on.

The roll of fax paper is somewhere in the $25 range. It makes about 50 faxes or copies/roll.

This machine was not really worth the money but I needed it in a pinch. When I have myself up and running, I will get another, better machine but for now this will do.
